Our high-quality go-kart clutch, made of durable steel, is designed to withstand the intense friction and heat generated during operation. It is well-suited for a variety of go-karts, including racing go-karts and homemade models.

Specifications: - 12-tooth, 3/4" bore clutch for #35 chain - 5/16-24, 3/4" long bolt size - Easy to install on the crankshaft using a bolt and washer

Compatibility: - Fits 2-6.5 HP engines, including Honda GC160, GC190, GX120, GX140, GX160, and GX200 - Also fits Briggs & Stratton and Tecumseh engines with a 3/4" shaft - Suitable for any other engine with a 3/4" crankshaft and 3/16" keyway

Note: - The centrifugal clutch must be oiled before use. - Please check your crankshaft size before ordering. - This clutch is designed for use on go-karts for children under 10 years old and at speeds below 30 yards. - Proper oiling will significantly extend the clutch's lifespan.

Clutch Selection: - The choice between a 10-tooth or 12-tooth clutch depends on the go-kart's purpose, axle sprocket size, and tire size. - For go-karts with larger tires (over 13"), a 10-tooth clutch is recommended. - For racing go-karts, a 12-tooth clutch may be more suitable.

Troubleshooting Clutch Issues: 1. Prolonged clutch engagement without locking: Increase the overall drive ratio by using a larger rear sprocket. 2. Mismatched jackshaft systems: Ensure the clutch is installed correctly, considering the clutch engagement RPM. 3. Excessive sprocket teeth: A typical clutch should have 10-12 teeth to avoid drive train issues. 4. Oil inside the clutch: Only oil the internal bronze bushing, not the drum interior. 5. Improper clutch installation: Use the correct tools and follow the instructions to ensure proper installation. 6. Using large tires: Upgrade to a torque converter if using tires taller than 15 inches or an engine larger than 8 HP. 7. Driving too slowly: Operate the go-kart at full throttle to lock the clutch shoes against the drum. 8. Wrong gear ratio: Maintain a 1:6 ratio between the engine sprocket and the rear axle sprocket.
