The clutch must then be removed from the engine crankshaft. Before installing the new clutch onto the crankshaft, it is essential to ensure that the clutch key holes are perfectly aligned with the keyway on the crankshaft. After installation, the clutch should be slid onto the shaft to check its stability.

Fitment: The clutch is compatible with #40/41/420 chain, up to 13hp horsepower, and has an engagement speed of 2000±100 RPM. It is compatible with go-karts and mini-bikes. The chain is not included.

The clutch mounts onto the crankshaft using a bolt and washer on the end of the crankshaft. It does not require set screws as long as the end of the crankshaft is threaded to accept a bolt. Most go-kart clutches are held onto the shaft with a bolt and larger washer, and additional washers may be used on the crankshaft to space the clutch.

The Centrifugal Clutch 1" Bore 14T must be oiled before use. However, do not put oil inside the clutch holes, as they are designed to let the hot air out of the clutch. When oil gets in the drum portion of the clutch, it will cause excessive slippage, leading to undue heat generation.
